Basic Information of Day:

- Date of Match: October 2nd 2019 (Wednesday)
- Played Holding Midfielder (No Box Midfielder Used, Had two Holding)
- Played against St. Benedict's Preparatory School (Away)
- Final Score: 0-5 Loss
- Overall Possession Percentage was around 10% (Lawrenceville) to 90% (SBPS)
- St. Benedict's Preparatory School is exceptionally famous for their soccer program (St. Benedict's are 12-Time National Champions)
- St. Benedict Preparatory School is always Lawrenceville's toughest opponent
Positive Points about Today's Game:
- Good Low Shifting due to Strong Opponent
- Throughout the game, the team didn’t chase the ball instead saved energy by slowly shifting from left side and right side
- Solid Communication within the team about when to defensively shift
- During the last few minutes of second half, there was a fairly strong high pressure line, which made few attacking opportunities for our striker
- Decent Aerial Duels to earn ball possession and transition into an attacking opportunity
Negative Points about Today's Game:
- One of the toughest game of our 2019-20 season
- Very little time and overall possession with the ball in general
- Due to low pressure very little passing combinations used and few touches throughout the whole game
- Lack of clearance led to shots, sometimes goal-scoring shots for opponents
- Few hesitations in defense line when trying to clear the ball
- Communication between the midfield line and defense line started to decline at the end of the first half (improved again in second half)
Main lesson learnt for future games:
“Playing a powerful opponent is a perfect opportunity for a team to develop, learn, and improve” - Kyle Park
