Kepa Arrizabalaga was the hero for Chelsea in Belfast as they beat Unai Emery's Villareal 6-5 in a penalty shootout to win the UEFA Super Cup. Hakim Ziyech, who has been exceptional during the pre-season, put the Blues in front before half-time, but striker Gerard Moreno equalized. With penalties looming, Thomas Tuchel substituted Edouard Mendy for Arrizabalaga––an informed decision that was "not spontaneous" and fully justified as the Spaniard saved the decisive penalty from Raul Albiol. Chelsea is off to an incredible start, and this victory will certainly boost the players' morale heading into what will be a demanding season. Up The Chels!
