Basic Information of Day:
- Date of Match: September 29th, 2019 (Saturday)
- Played Box-to-Box Midfielder
- Played against Princeton Day School (Away)
- Final Score: 0-6 Win
Positive Points about Today's Game:
- Was able to play again after chin injury and missing a match against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (2-0 Loss)
- One Goal & One Assist against Princeton Day School
- Clear Dominance in both the first half and second half
- Especially in the second half, the midfield and defensive line constantly kept possession by making easy passes (Opposition quickly became tired), and occasionally played a cross to our strikers/attacking midfielder
- Good Decision to stick with High Pressure Methods(kept opponents on opposition side during throw-ins and goal-kicks)
- Putting Pressure on the Opposition was a collaborative effort
- Great Aerial Duels to create a chance after receiving goal-kicks
- Overall Possession Percentage was around 85% (Lawrenceville) to 15% (PDS)
Negative Points about Today's Game:
- Frequently a chip-cross towards the striker was too long, ending up to the goalkeeper's hand
- Making the opportunities count as our team had multiple scoring opportunities in the both the first and second half
- For upcoming games, continue to keep possession when winning by a big score (makes the opponents tired and gives us the time to be steady)
Main lesson learnt for future games:
"Keep possession and make the opponents chase you" - Coach Wilcox
Well played bro :)
